Finance sits within Organisational Capability and Services, a branch dedicated to supporting the rest of the Department to succeed by providing corporate services that help business groups and people within DIA to make the best contribution to New Zealand

The person in this role will be proactive and will want to know "why" and be able to ask and answer "so what" in relation to financial and related non-financial information, you will be able to communicate your discoveries in different mediums and will advise in a consultative manner your discoveries to peers and senior staff. You will be confident in the application of Government financial calendar and the intricacies surrounding forecasting and baseline line updates. You will help support business case development across the Department along with projects. Your experience will set you up for improving compliance and risk management within the Finance context. Your personal attributes mean you can establish and maintain professional and personal relationships and be confident in communicating.
