About the role

The Learning Solutions team develop innovative adult learning programmes, products and assets for the New Zealand Police (NZP) and Royal New Zealand Police College (RNZPC).  You will play a key role as part of a talented team of training developers, designers and specialists.  This is an exciting opportunity to support the NZP by equipping our leaders and the frontline with the skills, knowledge and insights to keep our communities both actually safe and feeling safe.  This is an opportunity to shape the future for NZP.   If you are interested being creative and making a difference for NZP, then this is the role for you.

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of training products for NZP
  • Create digital online training assets such as video animation, infographics, logo design, e-learning and illustrations for NZP
  • Support Teaching and Learning Advisors in the development of projects or programmes of work when required 
  • Develop training and learning material in other formats including Abobe and Office 365  
  • Be a team player working collaboratively to deliver great outcomes for NZP
  • Maintain positive relationships with business owners, partners and project managers
  • Champion innovative and creative learning
  • Focus on delivery, learning outcomes and client satisfaction  
  • Support curation and maintenance of our learning programmes, products and assets

We are looking for a great people with an understanding the strategic direction of NZP and NZ policing.  Recent experience in training design, delivering projects, and a track record of on time delivery is helpful.  Experience and relevant qualifications, in Design are welcomed.  You may also have experience in creative areas including animation, videography and design.  Knowledge of JIRA and Agile approaches or a willingness to learn will also help.

Special requirements

For Police Employee applicants:

  • Registered interest via the link or enrolment in the CEP leadership programme at the advertised level  
  • Graphic design experience would be preferred
  • Successful applicant must reside in Wellington once they commence the role
