About the role
The Civil Aviation Authority is looking for a Senior Payroll Advisor to join the Corporate Services group. This role will ensure the provision of accurate, effective and efficient payroll services to the organisation with fortnightly payroll processing of approximately 1700 employees. This role is based in Wellington and reports to the Payroll Manager.
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in payroll for a medium to large organisation
- Experience using a payroll system, ideally PayGlobal.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant employment legislation and computer proficiency.
- Self-management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines especially in December & January

The Civil Aviation Authority National Office is usually located in modern offices opposite the Wellington railway station. As a result of remedial earthquake strengthening work that needs to take place, our National office staff are currently working remotely and in temporary offices in central Wellington.
