Mō te tūnga | About the role
As a Hospital Liaison you will be based at the hospital 2-3 days per week. You will be working in partnership with the Police and health sector to ensure our tamariki and rangatahi's health and safety needs are met. Our goal is to establish a multiagency approach where you will be utilising your leadership and management skills by managing NAI multi agency safety planning along with developing a robust system in early identification of at-risk children.
This role does require the successful applicant to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in accordance with the public health regulations.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
- Well-developed communication skills, good time management and strong conflict resolution skills
- A full registration with New Zealand's Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) or able to register
- A recognised Social Work qualification by the SWRB
- To be able to demonstrate commitment to and respect for the Treaty of Waitangi
- A positive attitude and to be able to empower our tamariki and rangatahi
- Good critical thinking skills and the ability to gather information and make good evidence-based decisions.
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
To be considered for this role, you will need to bring a strong leadership quality. You will also be required to have a high standard of Social Work practice and credibility within the Social Work and health sector. You will need to have substantial experience in working and building strategic relationships with our stakeholders.
