Head of Advisory and Programme Support - Royal Commission| Secondment or Fixed term until August 2024

The purpose of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19 Lessons (Royal Commission) is to strengthen Aotearoa New Zealand's preparedness for, and response to, any future pandemic by identifying the lessons learned from New Zealand's response to COVID-19 that should be applied in any future pandemic.

About You:

We're looking for a Head of Advisory and Programme Support. Supported by a small team of specialists, your role will be to oversee the planning and delivery of the support services that enable the Royal Commission to achieve its outcomes. You'll also be responsible for the driving the development and implementation of the programme plan as well as facilitating regular performance and governance reporting.

If you have the following skills and experience, we would really like to hear from you:

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results
  • Effective issue resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate with credibility and convey information across a range of audiences
  • Judgement in dealing with complex, sensitive or ambiguous issues
  • Ability to lead a high performing team across a range of functions

You will also be proactive and collaborative in your working style, with the ability to easily engage and influence a range of stakeholders, and others across the programme.
