Finance sits within Organisational Capability and Services, a branch dedicated to supporting the rest of the Department to succeed by providing corporate services that help business groups and people within DIA to make the best contribution to New Zealand.
We have an opportunity for a Financial Support Officer to join our team. Working in the Financial Accounting and Control team you will be responsible to ensure reconciliation between two key systems are completed by investigating the cause of the reconciling items. You will also manage the relationship with our key operational contacts.
Key requirements of the role include:
- Proven ability to investigate transactions.
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail, strong time management skills, growth mindset and self-motivated.
- A passion for identifying and improving business processes while maintaining a strong internal control environment.
To be considered for this role you must have prior experience with completing reconciliations between a Point of Sale systems and bank systems while having an excellent eye for detail. Most importantly, you're a team player, have an open, approachable and collaborative communication and working style and you are capable of building long-term productive stakeholder relationships.
