We have an opportunity for an experienced, qualified Pharmacy Technician to join us in the role of Senior Pharmacy Technician - Clinical Trials. This role provides pharmacy support to the Wellington Blood and Cancer Clinical Trials Unit and Research Office.
Specific role responsibilities include managing investigational drug inventory, providing technical direction and assistance with clinical trial protocols, undertaking investigational drug distribution activities, maintaining clinical trial information and assisting in the record keeping related to clinical trials as required by the study protocols.

The pharmacy team is well respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management across the organisation, and is constantly looking at ways to improve the service and care it delivers. We provide a comprehensive pharmacy service throughout to the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District, which includes a clinical service, dispensary & logistics service, and a quality & risk service. There is also an aseptic production service at Capital & Coast Hospitals (Wellington & Kenepuru). Through these services, we aim to improve the quality and effectiveness of prescribing, supply and distribution of medicines throughout the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District. Our teams value professional growth, and emphasizes clinical development and medicines optimization for our patients.
Moū - About you
We want to hear from you if you have previous hospital pharmacy experience, have great prioritization skills and are interested in specializing in Clinical Trials. As this role has strong links with both the Clinical Trials Unit and the Pharmacy Department, you would have excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and independently.
