Anaesthesia Provisional Fellow | January 2024 at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, Christchurch

Our Purpose:

The Team:

Our Anaesthesia Department provides services in Christchurch for Te Whatu Ora, Waitaha. Surgical Services include all the main surgical specialities including Cardiac-thoracic, Neurosurgery, Spinal surgery Paediatric/Neonatal surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive surgery.  The Department of Anaesthesia also provides services to the Spinal Injuries Unit at Burwood Hospital.

The Role:

We are seeking Provisional Fellows in Anaesthesia who will be based at Christchurch Hospital. The department has 3 positions available which will be commencing on the 31st of January 2024 as a 12 month, full-time, fixed term position.

The Provisional Fellow positions are accredited by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and offer an ideal bridge between registrar training and consultant practice.

Provisional Fellows are given an increased level of responsibility and manage a wide range of elective and acute cases.  Where possible, sub-specialty interests will be accommodated.

Applicants must have passed the Final Fellowship Examination and be entering their fifth year of training (or equivalent).
