The Dispute Resolution Team is responsible for providing employment mediation services across the country. Mediation is when both parties work voluntarily with an independent mediator to resolve employment related issues. The Case Management team sits within Employment Mediation Services.

The Dispute Resolution Coordinator will
• Read and assess a number of applications each day – making judgements on the urgency, duration and other requirements of the mediation
• Explain the mediation process and respond to clients enquiries on a range of questions around employment and mediation
• Arrange the mediation – liaise with parties, mediators and others to arrange requirements
• Provide information and guidance to assist in resolving disputes between parties.
Skills and Experience Required
• Proven experience in case management or service delivery
• Previous experience roles requiring client communications and administration
• Sound computer literacy
• Ability to prioritise and to manage work without direct supervision
• Must have legal right to live and work in NZ
