About the role


An exciting opportunity has arisen within the New Zealand Police National Procurement and Contracting team for a Manager Contracts. We are looking for someone with experience in Contracts Management. This is a dynamic, varied role with a high level of responsibility, autonomy, and accountability. This role reports into the Senior Contracts Manager position.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Contract management of a portfolio of contracts.
  • Vendor management through effective supplier relationship management.
  • Develop insights and reporting.
  • Support the Senior Contracts Manager in developing the contract management function within the organisation.

  • Have comprehensive knowledge of contract management practices within a NZ public sector environment.
  • Experience in contract management, negotiations, review, and implementation.
  • Have a least three years’ experience in contract management role within a similar procurement/commercial environment.
  • Be a team player and have a great attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Special requirements

 

ROLES – At Sergeant / Senior Sergeant / Inspector level (Both PE and OOC):

 

  • Current CPK at the rank of the vacancy you are applying for, and either,
  1. Undertake to engage in a leadership programme at the advertised level, at a future date or
  2. Have qualified under CEP or a previous Career Progression Framework at the rank of the vacancy you are applying for

Remuneration upon appointment to the role will be (starting) $102,178 - $119,074(midpoint)
