Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

We are looking for a suitable experienced Registered Nurse to join the Base Maternity Unit and the wider Child and Maternal Health Directorate. The successful candidate will provide maternity care on the Postnatal ward in the Base Maternity Unit and the wider Child and Maternal Health Service.

The Maternity Unit is family centred and the staff are committed to providing a quality service. The goal of the Unit is to provide the mother with a safe and positive birthing experience with the necessary knowledge and skills to enable her and her family to care for their baby, with there being an emphasis on parenting skills and breastfeeding

Moū - About you

• A current New Zealand Nursing registration and Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Experience in a maternity ward is preferred. 
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a commitment to quality assurance and accreditation principles.
