Project Coordinator at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Toka Tumai Auckland, Auckland

  • 2 Project Coordinator roles available
  • Permanent, Full-Time, Monday – Friday (80 hours per fortnight)
  • Location: Auckland City Hospital

  • Free Shuttle bus to Grafton Station and Greenlane from Auckland City Hospital (operating Mon-Fri)

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

As a Project Coordinator you will support the delivery of projects and people resource management, including planning and allocations. This work will be undertaken with the support and direction of the F&D Head of Projects and General Manager.

You will play a key role in helping Te Toka Tumai, Auckland to deliver the changes required for us to achieve healthy communities, world-class healthcare, achieved together.

The purpose of this role is to support successful delivery of projects through the provision of project coordination and administration duties. 

You will work closely with the Project Manager(s) and project team(s) to develop project documentation, communications, supporting relationships, reporting, resource management, data analysis, and other logistical and coordination support.

You will play a key role in ensuring projects are well run in line with the Te Toka Tumai Project Management Framework. 

You may lead lower complexity projects or assist the Project Manager with various aspects of their role such as risk and issue management, resource management, financial management, and schedule management.

By necessity this role may be varied in nature with a focus on one or more projects or sub-projects, according to current requirements and priorities.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

  • 1-3 years of work experience as a Project Coordinator
  • Experience in coordinating/supporting change projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
  • Adept at Microsoft Office software

Highly Advantageous…

  • Understanding of project management methodologies, ideally a project management related qualification such as PRINCE2
  • Experiences in aspects of project work, such as planning, design, change management, benefits management, resource management, communication, reporting and evaluation
