Public Health Nurse - Child Health, Porirua. Are you passionate about making a difference for child health in the Wellington region? Do you have a passion for public health and reducing inequities? We seek a highly motivated, energetic person who is organised and flexible to join us in our work with children, their whanau and school communities.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
We are an experienced, knowledgeable and culturally diverse team representative of the Porirua community. Our team offers a wider range of services, consisting of Public Health Nursing, Public Health Ear Van Nurses and Vision and Hearing Technicians. Our Public Health Nurses offer primarily school based services, with a focus on population health to reduce inequities and improve health outcomes for our whānau. We are a dynamic, response team who also contribute to any Public Health emergencies and response, nationally, regionally and locally.
Moū - About you
We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join our child health team. If you have comprehensive nursing knowledge and are interested in nursing assessments, health promotion and delivering health education, we would like to hear from you! We seek a highly motivated, organised, flexible and energetic person to join our team. A person who is passionate about working with children, their whānau and within school communities across personal health and public/population health matters. The successful applicant will be experienced in working with children and their whānau, have proven ability to build and maintain relationships with health, social and disability agencies, and have nursing, social and public health sciences skills and knowledge. You will have knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Colonization, Cultural health models and understand inequities in health.
