Salary: Midpoint $102k depending on level of experience
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are seeking a qualified accountant to prepare, develop and analyse financial and output performance so that management can make well-informed decisions. You will not only be responsible for building budgets and meeting month end deadlines, but be proactive, have good communication skills and be willing to assist our clients in making good business decisions.
You will be the key financial partner working with your portfolio to enable operational decisions to be made, and will contribute around the table as a key member of the portfolios you support.
The successful person, reporting to the Business Services Manager, will be a real time trusted advisor who will support and partner with the budget holders in adding value to the decision making process by offering insight and analysis.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
We are a team of six that together share a drive for helping the business and helping each other. The team look after the wider corporate portfolios, being anything that is not directly frontline clinical. The team are involved with legal, ICT, procurement, research, HR, cleaning and security to name a few.
Moū - About you
The ideal candidate will be CA qualified or equivalent (consideration given to part qualified as we are a registered ATO). You will have experience dealing with the complexities of a large diverse organisation, including the ability to build relationships with the wider business.
You will also be an effective communicator with an ability to translate financial numbers into a meaningful story for what it means for them. Experience working in the large NZ government sector would be an advantage. We are ultimately looking for a strong team player who contributes to and leads improvement initiatives within the wider finance team. You will have advanced experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and providing complex financial insights.
