Senior Analyst (Relationship Manager), Non-bank Deposit Taker Supervision

The Supervision Department is a key part of the Bank's Financial Stability Group (FSG). We are the primary interface between the Reserve Bank and the private sector firms (e.g. banks, insurers, NBDTs) that we regulate.
The Banking and NBDT Supervision team is responsible for supervising compliance with financial entities' conditions of registration and relevant legislation, as well as managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
Te tūranga - The role
In this role, you will have direct involvement in the supervision and regulation of financial institutions, which includes understanding the financial condition and risks to individual institutions and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You'll be responsible for identifying areas of elevated risk and recommending action plans to address those areas. You will engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and build collaborative relationships to carry out these responsibilities.
You will be part of a hardworking and collaborative team who deliver solid outcomes for their stakeholders. You will be expected to provide support to your colleagues and will be provided with opportunities to further develop your career through training and coaching.

You'll bring:
- a professional broad-based experience in a financial institution, supervisory authority or related field is essential;
- the ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- strong analytical and problem solving capabilities, with financial data experience being a plus; and
- a positive and energetic attitude with a "can-do" mind-set
