Senior Adviser - Planning and Performance at Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Wellington

We are looking for a Senior Adviser to join a high performing team to work on strategy and to develop and provide thought leadership on our performance framework and our non-financial measures. The Senior Advisor will have a key role in managing the relationship with The Treasury, the Reserve Bank's monitor. You will also be expected to work collaboratively to support all of the team's outputs and engagements, including publication of corporate documents, alignment of strategy and performance with business planning, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders of Te Pūtea Matua.
Te tūranga - The role
The Senior Adviser is a key role within the Strategy, Governance and Sustainability Group. The Senior Adviser will develop and provide thought leadership on our performance framework and our non-financial measures, and will have a key role in managing the relationship with The Treasury, the Reserve Bank's monitor.
This role will play a vital part in the development of strategy, corporate documents and performance frameworks that enhance Te Pūtea Matua's accountability and transparency objectives.
In this role you will:
- Develop and provide thought leadership on Te Pūtea Matua's performance framework.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provide technical advice and support to Te Pūtea Matua's leadership teams on key strategic projects.
- Coordinate the drafting of Te Pūtea Matua's corporate accountability documents.
- Engage with departments across Te Pūtea Matua to ensure alignment to strategic objectives.
We are looking for people with:

- Experience and/or interest in developing as a thought leader in performance frameworks.

- Experience in a planning or strategy role within the financial sector, government or relevant public sector organisation.

- A sound understanding of the New Zealand economy, financial system and the role of the Reserve Bank.
- Excellent written, analytical and communication skills in a regulatory or policy environment.
