The details: Permanent - Part-time and Full-time considered - maximum 80 Hours per fortnight

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We are seeking people who want to make a difference to tangata whaiora and whanau struggling with addictions to join our team. Do you have life experience that could benefit others through their recovery journey? Would you like to work in a job where you can genuinely make a difference for people?


This role focuses on supporting tāngata whaiora and whānau with serious substance addiction issues. We especially encourage you to apply if you have experience with the recovery journey, knowledge of indigenous ways of wellbeing and value supporting connections and strengthening families. Sharing these values is what is important not your current qualifications, we can help you get the qualifications.

Community Alcohol and other Drugs Service (CADS), Te Whatu Ora Waikato, provides support and services for Tāngata whaiora and whānau with complex alcohol and other drug concerns. Our CADS team works collaboratively with our Te Whatu Ora, Waikato colleagues and across the Rohe to achieve results for our Tāngata whaiora, while continuously learning and developing our own skills.
