Senior Occupational Therapist/ Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau

Permanent 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation wards

Te Whatu Ora Waitematā are seeking an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist to provide senior leadership and clinical excellence on the Assessment, Treatment and Rehabilitation ward at Waitakere Hospital.

Working within a supportive multi-disciplinary team, you will provide quality assessment and clinically effective rehabilitation and discharge planning through a patient and whānau centred approach. You will have experience assessing and providing wheelchair and seating solutions, providing upper limb assessment/treatment and assessing how cognitive impairments impact on occupational performance.

To be successful in this role you must be a New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist and possess at least 5 years of experience. You must be able to demonstrate leadership skills, strengths in organisation and communication, and be motivated and passionate about quality improvement. You will also have experience in supporting staff, students and service development.
