Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We have an exciting role available for a fixed term, full-time New Zealand registered Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated, supportive and friendly Speech-Language Therapy team based at Greenlane Clinical Centre and Point Chevalier Clinical Centre.
Our Speech-Language Therapists work in locality teams and are committed to the holistic delivery of health services with their MDT colleagues, within the Te Toka Tumai community. We offer therapy to clients with a range of communication and swallowing disorders due to a wide variety of conditions, and service are provided in the community, home, clinic and telehealth settings. Being part of our community team, we also offer training and development opportunities for video fluoroscopy and also support all our staff in maintaining skills in FEES and tracheostomy with the wider SLT inpatient team where applicable. Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
To be successful, you will need to have the following skills and attributes:
- Registered member of the New Zealand Speech-Language Therapists’ Association (NZSTA) with current Annual Practicing Certificate
- At least one year of post graduate experience as a Speech-Language Therapist in a hospital/community setting
- Full and current NZ Drivers licence
- An understanding of bicultural issues and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting
- Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
- Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- For community-based roles, you will be required to have a valid driver’s license

The remuneration for this position is covered by a collective agreement (PSA Allied Health, Public Health and Technical MECA)
Salary range: $58 513.00 - $82 271.00 p.a based on experience
