Part-time, (0.7 FTE total)

An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Triage Clinician & Kaitiakitanga and join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at the Rotorua Adult Community Mental Health & Addiction Service.

We are growing our team with an exciting opportunity for an experienced mental health clinician to  help shape the new triage service.  Key aims will be to improve accessibility to services and ensure equitable outcomes.  A key part of the role, as Kaitiakitanga (Guardian) is to help shape processes so it aligns with the intent of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ara Tauwhirotanga model of care.  Read more about the model of care here: https://www.lakesdhb.govt.nz/our-services/mental-health/te-ara-tauwhirotanga/ 

About the role
•    part time (0.7 FTE available in total)
•    56 hours per fortnight, working business hours (Mon – Fri 8am to 4:30pm)

•    To facilitate the delivery of effective clinical services ensuring quality patient care and a safe patient journey across the care continuum.
•    To assist whaiora and their whānau on their journey of healing, with a particular focus on utilising Te Ao Māori models of care; from first entry to service, through early acute intervention and safe transition to other services. 
•    To provide community mental health care based on current best practice and collaborative working within the interdisciplinary team. 
•    Ensure all inter-disciplinary referrals within the team will be performed with consent from whaiora and their whānau (where applicable).
•    Work collaboratively with complementary internal and external partner organisations.

About you
•    Registered Clinician with minimum of 3 years’ experience in a community mental health environment. 
•    Sound assessment and psychosocial intervention skills
•    Ability to work autonomously and liaise with a wide range of health professionals and partner organisations
•    Annual Practising Certificate & Registered with the appropriate regulatory body

Salary range
$80,883 to $95340 pro-rated to hours worked.
