About the Role
We are looking for an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join the Oral & Maxillofacial service based at Christchurch Hospital. The team covers acute and elective outpatient and inpatient care. This role requires being on a 1:4 out of hours on-call roster. This is a 0.75 FTE (30 hours per week) position with a negotiable start date.
Christchurch Hospital is the largest tertiary, teaching and research hospital in the South Island and provides a full range of emergency, acute, planned care and outpatient services. The hospital acts as a level one trauma centre.

The team consists of experienced surgeons, specialist nurses, and allied health professionals who work collaboratively to provide comprehensive care across a wide range of maxillofacial conditions. Requirements for the Role
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Council of New Zealand and Dental Council of New Zealand
- Fellowship or equivalent qualification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
- Extensive experience in both elective and acute maxillofacial procedures
