Te Whatu Ora Waitemata Specialist Mental Health and Addiction Services is the largest provider of Mental Health Services in New Zealand. The catchment area includes North Shore City, West Auckland and a large rural population in Rodney.
The team is contracted to provide services to women with a serious mental illness that is related to the experience of pregnancy, childbirth or postnatal adjustment. Working with the women's families/whanau is an integral part of the interventions provided.
We are committed to providing a rewarding work environment by enabling you to deliver a high standard of care and clinical leadership. You will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team enabling increased responsiveness through the co-ordination and provision of flexible wrap around support packages for mothers, infants and their families/ whanau. You will have excellent communications skills for consultation, networking and liaison and will perform well under pressure.
If you are an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with specialist Maternal Mental Health expertise or a transferable background and experience to fill this role we would like to hear from you.
Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand is essential.
