Community and Inpatient Pharmacist
Full time or Part Time
Permanent or Fixed Term Available
Life is a collection of small moments: meaningful moments, challenging moments, moments to remember. At Te Whatu Ora South Canterbury, we want to support our people to enjoy more of the moments that matter. Are you ready to join us?
Right now, we - re looking for a Pharmacist with a good level of experience to join the pharmacy and community allied health team working across inpatient and community settings.
Here at Timaru Hospital our Pharmacists do much more than dispense medicines. In fact, as an integral member of a broad multi-disciplinary clinical service team, you - ll enjoy active clinical involvement.
We are also seeking a Pharmacist who would be willing to undertake one or more specific work programmes or projects that are outlined by Te Whtatu Ora and the Health Quality Safety Commission. These could be on a fixed term/ part-time basis.
Our Pharmacy team is involved in the provision of clinical pharmacy services, medicines reconciliation, medicines information, patient counselling, on call services and inpatient and outpatient dispensing and community services.
You will be self-motivated, accountable, efficient, accurate and meticulous, a team player with excellent communication skills. Ideally you will have sound experience in a busy community or hospital pharmacy. Newly qualified graduates will be considered.
Hospital experience would be an advantage but it is not essential as training would be provided. We are eager to develop a closer connection with community pharmacies and therefore having a community background would also be considered of value.
If you have excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills as well as having good communication skills, are a quick learner and be able to perform in an accurate and precise manner, then we look forward to your application.
The successful applicant will be a New Zealand Registered Pharmacist, competent with dispensing systems along and familiar with using the Microsoft Office suite.
