Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand Waikato General Medicine service has seen considerable growth over the last 10 years and has the executive mandate and support to continue to grow.

Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified candidates for Advanced Training positions in General Medicine. We are currently accredited for four Advanced Trainees in General Medicine, and have core and non-core rotations in the below sub-specialties at Waikato Hospital.

General Medicine currently has nine inpatient teams working across the Acute Medical Unit and five homewards.
There are currently four Advanced Trainee positions in General Medicine.
Mōu | About you
The required skills and experience you will need to be considered for this role are:
- Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible to apply for Provisional Vocational Registration.
- Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Eligible applicants must have passed the RACP clinical examination OR have passed the part 1 written examination with plans to sit the clinical exam in 2023/2024.
