Applications are invited for a 6-24 month Registrar position.
This post offers a unique opportunity for advanced training in Endocrinology. This position is accredited by the RACP Endocrinology ATC as suitable for the required clinical year (RCY) and also for core training. Trainees will gain experience in a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient endocrinology care, specialist endocrine testing, as well as research and professional development opportunities. We welcome keen and passionate trainees to submit an application to our department.
Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service
Our service is a multidisciplinary specialist endocrinology department, with a team of six consultant endocrinologists and two endocrine nurse specialists, with another advanced trainee colleague. Waikato DHB has separate endocrine and diabetes units so the endocrine training position is purely endocrinology during working hours. However, Waikato Hospital also offers accredited diabetes advanced trainee positions for training pathway planning. We provide full-day dynamic testing, consultant ward rounds plus daily inpatient consults, Radiology and MDM conferences and a weekly journal club.

You will need to have registered or be eligible for registration with the New Zealand Medical Council, completed the FRACP written and clinical examinations (or equivalent) and completed basic training requirements.
