Senior House Officer
Applications are invited for the 2024 year
The Critical Care unit offers clinical attachments for senior house officers (SHO) each year and is looking to recruit to four positions every six months.
The primary area of work will assist with the model of care for the unit caring for the patients with high dependencies.
You would be responsible to the admitting primary team consultant for the supervision of admissions and discharges, investigatory procedures, changes in treatment and all similar matters.
Although the majority of your work will be in the open HDU, you are considered part of the Intensive care team, with support from senior ICU staff as required. In addition to working in HDU, you will also be allocated occasional ICU shifts and Anaesthetic days for further critical care and airway experience.
