Expressions of interest for two Non-Training Surgical Registrar positions commencing January 2024 complementing 7 General Surgical and Vascular Consultants at Nelson Hospital.  The week will include holding the acute phone attending the acute theatre as well as elective opportunities.  On-call 1 in 6.  Very supportive department with a good track record of successful applications for training.

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)

The successful applicant will have had surgical experience within the last 12 months and would be intending to apply to the training programme in the future.

All applicants must hold valid registration or be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ). 

Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of two NZ approved COVID-19 vaccinations as they have direct contact with patients and members of the public.
