Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre (BRC) is a 40 bed specialist inpatient rehabilitation service for people aged between 18 and 65 , the majority of whom are under 30 years old . All experience serious mental illness with associated high and complex needs which often include alcohol and/or drug issues. We are committed to facilitating a therapeutic, recovery-oriented environment utilising evidence-based practice in response to peoples’ clinical and rehabilitation needs and would like to strengthen our capacity to respond fully to people’s needs.
We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced clinician to join our team. Alongside clinical duties, you will use your expertise to develop and integrate the AOD role into our service.
The clinical aspect of this role will include consultation to other clinicans and the provision of evidence based assessment and treatment to identified whaiora. Your excellent communication and engagement skills will enable you to establish positive relationships with other AOD providers, lead AOD training at BRC and provide support for our clinicians in their practice and professional development.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You will be a registered Counsellor, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, Psychologist, Psychotherapist or Social Worker and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate. You will also be DAPANZ registered.
You will need to have a full and clean drivers licence for this role.
