Chief Advisor, Report Writing - Royal Commission

Type: Secondment or Fixed Term - June 2024 Hours: Full time Business Group: Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19 Lessons Location: Wellington
The purpose of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19 Lessons is to strengthen Aotearoa New Zealand's preparedness for, and response to, any future pandemic by identifying the lessons learned from New Zealand's response to COVID-19 that should be applied in any future pandemic.
We are looking for a Report Writer with extensive experience in drafting and writing substantial documents within a policy context. You'll be a natural storyteller, who brings a proven strategic and multi-disciplinary outlook on report writing. Working closely with the Policy and Research team, you'll plan the report structure, as well as draft and review the content.
If you have the following skills and experience, we would really like to hear from you:
Significant experience writing high quality reports that have a strong level of public interest
An ability to communicate complex information in reader friendly formats and styles
A writing portfolio that demonstrates exceptional written and conceptual thinking
The ability to pair creative writing with data/analytics/best practice and produce high quality results
Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to work at all levels of organisations and communities
