We are seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant with previous experience in a hospital inpatient setting to join us at the Burwood Campus as part of our wider Older Person - s Health and Rehabilitation Service. This is an exciting opportunity to refine your skills as an Allied Health Assistant and develop your career in healthcare! Your main area of work will be in the inpatient neurology unit treating patients who are largely under 65 with neurological conditions.
This is a part time (35hr per week) opportunity. The days and hours required are Monday - Friday, 0830-1600.
Salary - $51,820 - $62,154. Based off the PSA Allied, Public Health and Technical collective agreement.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting your Physiotherapist colleagues in delivering treatment and rehabilitation plans in a rehab hospital setting;
- The setting out of equipment in preparation for physiotherapy sessions or meetings as required;
- The maintenance and monitoring of supplies and equipment within the department.
- Assisting with Hydrotherapy programmes for patients
- Facilitating group exercise sessions
Your skills will include:
- A strong desire to be part of a team and an eagerness to be your best;
- Dedication to continued learning and striving for the best patient outcomes;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to follow direction;
- Flexibility with the ability to work in a variety of ward areas with different teams from day to day;
- Previous experience in a similar therapy assistant role with a good understanding of health is essential.
