Physiotherapist - Burns and Plastics at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Hutt Valley, Lower Hutt

Salary:  $68,371 - $87,999

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

This position is part of the Inpatient Physiotherapy Team and is based on the Wellington Regional Plastic, Maxillofacial and Burns Unit. If you are a motivated and experienced physiotherapist, with knowledge and understanding of working in an acute hospital setting, then this may be the position for you. The successful candidate will have good time management and prioritisation skills. They will have a can do attitude and enjoy working as part of a highly functional and supportive team.

Previous Burns and Plastics experience, along with tracheostomy management is ideal but not essential. 

This is a permanent, fulltime position, 40 hours per week.

Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team

The Physiotherapy Department at Hutt Hospital provides physiotherapy services to patients/clients within the hospital and primary care setting. Services are provided on all of the inpatient wards including Medical Assessment and Planning Unit (MAPU) and Emergency Department (ED). Outpatient services are provided within the hospital or based in GP clinics.

Moū - About you

  • Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Clinical experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Knowledge and an understanding of Burns and Plastics
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
