The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has a new opportunity for an innovative Senior Advisor (level 1) Data and Information (Information Management) to join our Data, Strategy and Knowledge branch. We are looking for someone proven information management experience who is passionate about the discipline and keen to lead challenging initiatives across a large, varied organisation.
As a Senior Advisor, you will lead initiatives and projects to increase information management capability and practices across MBIE. You will collaborate closely with the Manager Information Management and wider team to develop and embed solutions that enable MBIE to lift the Ministry’s maturity in data and Information management and leverage the value of its information.
You will lead work that makes a real difference to our organisation and to our people and provide new and innovative ways for our people to grow their data and knowledge capability.

Skills and Experience Required
We are keen to hear from you if you have:
- Experience at the Senior Advisor level in leading initiatives to improve information and records practices.
- Proven experience in information or records management services delivery.
- The ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships and to develop trust and credibility with senior managers, staff and key internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to introduce new ways of looking at problems and adopt creative new approaches.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to coach and train immediate team colleagues and wider organizational staff.
- A Tertiary qualification, preferably in a relevant field or comparable relevant experience.
