Reporting to the Manager of INZ systems within the Partnerships & Programmes, Services Transformation Team, the Workstream Lead will be accountable for effective management of the technology stream of allocated projects and other systems change initiatives, and delivery of these within agreed timeframes, budget and quality measures.

You will be responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of advice and practices in relation to their contribution to the team’s work, including any Project Managers working within your team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager with experience in the delivery of ICT projects.
 

• Experience in and understanding of ICT methodologies and tools that underpin the delivery of an ICT programme of work
• Knowledge and experience in working with project management tools/methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to use technology in achieving work outcomes
• Previous experience leading project delivery teams where there is no formal reporting line
• Experience and skill in leading, motivating, and mentoring others to deliver technology projects, of diverse complexity and scale
• Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor to a diverse stakeholder base
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of an organisation;
• Demonstrate strong ownership, have exemplary quality standards and a keen interest in navigating problems to find solutions and drive continuous improvement;
• Demonstrates strong judgement and has confidence in making decisions in a complex environment
• Experience running simultaneous programs of work in a central government setting
• You must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand
