We are looking for a personable and capable administrator, with outstanding communication and organisational skills, to join our administrative support team at the Nelson Hospital. You will provide administrative support to our consultants and clinical teams.
This position requires close attention to detail to maintain accurate data management of our patient information care system and transcribing of medical documents.
A typing speed of 50 words per minute is essential. Dictaphone experience and medical terminology would be advantageous but not essential. Our preferred applicants will be required to undertake a computer skills assessment.
Permanent part-time position (0.8 FTE / 64 hours per fortnight).
The starting salary for this position is $67,932 (pro rata i.e. based on a 40 hour working week).

You - ll respect the importance of maintaining patient confidentiality and will have demonstrated the ability to manage a busy workload. You - ll be bright, outgoing and possess excellent interpersonal skills, and will provide a consistently high standard of customer service to our team.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of two NZ approved COVID-19 vaccinations.
