Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
- Waitakere Hospital - Outpatients Pharmacy
- Permanent Position Full Time 1.0 FTE
Looking for something a bit different?
We are looking for a resourceful, motivated and friendly pharmacist to join our Outpatients Pharmacy team. This is a very stable team with low staff turnover – making this an unusual opportunity to join us. We are a small supportive team providing a patient-focussed and pharmacy service. This is a full-time, permanent position, primarily based at Waitakere Hospital Outpatients Pharmacy. The role also provides some support to our team at North Shore Hospital Outpatients Pharmacy as needed.
The Outpatients Pharmacy provides a full range of community pharmacy services. See Pharmacy Services | Waitematā | Te Whatu Ora • Healthpoint. In addition to providing healthcare to our regulars and hospital staff, we play a key role in supporting discharges for our inpatients, providing access to otherwise hard to find medication, and in linking with our Outpatient Clinics. We also offer a range of vaccinations to staff and whanau. We are open Monday to Friday from 0900-1800.
Waitematā offers a range of training opportunities for staff, and we are keen to support life-long learning. You will also contribute through involvement in training new pharmacy staff, including interns and pharmacy students.
Waitematā’s Pharmacy Service employs 120 staff across several sites, and is the country’s leading hospital for innovation and the introduction of electronic medication management systems including electronic Prescribing and Administration, electronic Medicines Reconciliation, Pyxis Medstations, eVitals and eNotes. Our promise to our patients is ‘best care for everyone’, and our shared values include ‘everyone matters, ‘with compassion’, ‘connected’ and ‘better, best, brilliant’.
We are seeking a pharmacist with excellent communication and time management skills, and the ability to interact well with all members of our community. You will be a registered pharmacist, with a current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate.
