We are looking for a resourceful, motivated and friendly pharmacist to join our Outpatients Pharmacy team. This is a very stable team with low staff turnover – making this an unusual opportunity to join us. We are a small supportive team providing a patient-focussed and pharmacy service. This is a full-time, permanent position, primarily based at Waitakere Hospital Outpatients Pharmacy. The role also provides some support to our team at North Shore Hospital Outpatients Pharmacy as needed.

In addition to providing healthcare to our regulars and hospital staff, we play a key role in supporting discharges for our inpatients, providing access to otherwise hard to find medication, and in linking with our Outpatient Clinics. We also offer a range of vaccinations to staff and whanau. We are open Monday to Friday from 0900-1800.

Waitematā offers a range of training opportunities for staff, and we are keen to support life-long learning. You will also contribute through involvement in training new pharmacy staff, including interns and pharmacy students.

We are seeking a pharmacist with excellent communication and time management skills, and the ability to interact well with all members of our community. You will be a registered pharmacist, with a current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate.
