Based within the Occupational Health Services at Te Toka Tumai, the Occupational Health Nurse Specialist role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of staff across our organisation. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting the management of workers' health and ensuring healthy workplaces and work environments.
Te Toka Tumai is committed to providing comprehensive occupational health services, and as an Occupational Health Nurse Specialist, you will utilise your expertise in occupational health nursing to provide specialised assessments and advanced management practices for workers. You will have the opportunity to contribute to staff education, quality improvement initiatives, and research that advances the field of Occupational Health Service and management.
We are seeking an innovative, enthusiastic and experienced nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

To be successful you will:
Essential:
- Have Current New Zealand nursing registration.
- Possess a Postgraduate certificate/diploma in nursing practice.
- Have knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in your role.
- Align with Te Toka Tumai values.
Desired:
- Hold a Master’s Degree or be working towards completion of a Master’s Degree in nursing or a health-related area.
- Possess research skills, including data analysis and critical appraisal skills, and clinical audit experience.
- Have experience in multi-disciplinary clinical teaching.
- Exhibit strategic planning and policy development skills.
- Understand government health policy.
