Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Rostered shift work is an integral part of these roles. Shifts are 24/7 rostered Monday to Sunday and the hours are predominately during the midnight shift working 32 to 40 hours per week.
You would be required to support the Covid team if there’s a surge in testing requirements

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You will be a registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with the Medical Sciences Council www.mscouncil.org.nz with a current annual practicing certificate and have at least 1 years’ experience in a biochemistry laboratory. LabPlus is willing to work with a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist wanting to gain registration if the candidate has established skills in Biochemistry using the Roche Cobas systems. Experience with IT300 software would also be an advantage. A working knowledge of laboratory quality processes and ISO 15189 is essential.

About our Automation and Support Services Department
The Automation and Support Services (ALSS) department which consists of Specimen Services, Covid 19 registration, and Automation Chemistry areas.
We are a high workload area and we perform the pre-analytical processing which includes specimens receipt and despatch, registration of specimens, allocating and triaging specimens and tissue management for Te Toka Tumai, Te Whatu Ora.
Our Automated chemistry has Roche pre analytical and analytical automated instrumentation. Our team works with all departments in LabPLUS and operates 24/7
