Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Service Coordination team based at Greenlane Clinical Centre. Our Service Coordination team focuses on assessing the mental health needs of individuals and matching them with appropriate mental health services. In this role, you will work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders who share a common passion for providing mental health care.
As an integral part of this position, you will conduct comprehensive support needs assessments to advocate for suitable support for our whaiora. You will also play a key role in regularly reviewing care plans to ensure that recovery goals are met.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who can empower and enable tangata whaiora in their individual recovery journeys; we are also seeking someone who possesses experience working with individuals from various cultural backgrounds. If you are successful, you will be a part of our dynamic mental health service coordination team based at Greenlane Clinical Centre. You will collaborate with a wide range of community and inpatient mental health professionals and network with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) across Auckland. Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively are essential to your success.

We welcome applications from Occupational Therapists registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and holding a current APC. While experienced occupational therapist candidates are preferred, this is also a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with at least one year of mental health experience. Our team will provide ongoing support, training, and development.
We are looking for passionate occupational therapists with an interest in the field of mental health. This is a challenging yet exciting area of work requiring a proactive, enthusiastic, and empathic person with a commitment to excellence.
In addition, the successful person will:
- You will be competent in using basic Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel; and have experience in diary management with the ability to use electronic client records.
- You will need to be flexible, self-directed, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
- An interest in service improvement would also be beneficial.
- As this is a community-based role, a full and clean driver’s license is required.
