Enjoy growing more by doing more. By that we mean developing a broader, more well-rounded skillset thanks to exposure to more clinical practices and scenarios. You’ll see and do it all here, from minor injuries to rural emergency care. And when you are not a work, you can explore one of the most amazing parts of Aotearoa with many outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, hunting and surfing all at your doorstep.
As soon as you’re here, we know you’ll feel a deep sense of belonging – with our healthcare team, and also with our wider community. This is a special place – a place where you will be respected, supported and welcomed for who you are and the expertise and mana you bring. We are a largely Māori community, so your understanding of the healthcare and cultural needs of Māori, and the need to put this at the centre of all you do, is vital to this role. We provide a 24/7 emergency service, a nine-bed acute ward, and in the community the Nursing Integrated Care Team works in partnership with other local health providers.
We have a number of short-term contracts available this holiday season so come and join us in Wairoa. Not only will it provide as a life-changing experience but also an ideal summer location. We’re open to all levels of nursing experience and can assist with a support package to make your move easier. Get in touch for a korero.
