Location: The role will be rostered between the Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley District Te Whatu Ora Campuses.
Service: Finance and Business Services directorate
Contract: Two, permanent, full-time roles - 40 hours per week between 6.00 am to 6.00 pm
Salary: Maximum of $68,600
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The Painter Decorator is responsible for the timely preparation and painting of nominated areas both internal and external (planned and unplanned) to a high quality as per the direction of the Carpentry Manager. You will be competent in all facets of painting, wall repairs, stopping and plastering to a professional level.
This role supports the team to deliver maintenance solutions and projects within the budgeted parameters (hours, materials and quality) and always endeavour - s to ensure that the job is completed to the customers satisfaction under the direction of the Carpentry Manager. You will be a motivated self-starter who is able to undertake a wide range of painting & decorating tasks as required. The candidate will have a sound understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace.
Hours of work are 40 hours a week between 6.00 am to 6.00 pm.
Work hours will be required to be flexible to fit in with the organisations clinical needs.

You will be part of a small team that is responsible for the upkeep, compliance and maintenance (both planned and reactive) of all of Health New Zealand - s, Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley maintenance requests.

Moū - About you
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Competence in wall repairs, stopping and plastering.
- Relates well to management and staff at all levels.
- Excellent at customer service.
- Fit and able to undertake the required duties.
- Champion and proactive in Health & Safety in the workplace.
- Motivated, self-starter with a can do attitude and be a team player.
- Current full New Zealand driving licence.
A trade qualification in painting & decorating is desirable.
