Locum Pharmacists - Expression of Interests at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand South Canterbury, Timaru Hospital

This is our call to Registered Pharmacists at any stage in their career, who are looking for a new opportunity to progress their career and gain or further develop their hospital-based pharmacy experience. We have fixed-term positions of varied hours and contract lengths available, to support our Pharmacy kaimahi (staff) while recruitment is underway to fill vacancies.

Here at Timaru Hospital our small team of Pharmacists do much more than dispense medicines. In fact, as an integral member of our broad multi-disciplinary clinical service team, you - ll enjoy active clinical involvement. Your day can involve:

• Providing clinical pharmacy services;
• medicines reconciliation, ;
• dispensing;
• non-sterile compounding;
• patient counselling,
• inpatient and outpatient dispensing and community services; and
• potentially on call services.

You will need to be a New Zealand Registered Pharmacist as well as being competent with dispensing systems.
