Taupo is considered the adventure capital of New Zealand, adrenalinised action, with plenty of outdoor activities. Taupo is on the northeastern corner of Lake Taupo and has scenic views across the lake to the volcanic peaks of Tongariro National Park.

Taupo Maternity is a unique stand-alone primary birthing facility. As a forward focused maternity service, we have a commitment to midwifery led care. Woman centred care is a strong focus already in the unit. The Taupo Midwifery Team works closely with our secondary service in Rotorua for support and guidance therefore adopting the philosophy of one service, two sites.

We are seeking to recruit exceptional Midwives with enthusiasm, drive, vision, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, commitment and the ability to work as a team member. Are you inspired by the challenge of providing the highest quality of midwifery care?

The successful applicants will have the opportunity to significantly influence change in working with women to further enhance Maternity Services. Taupo region has approximately 250 births per year.

Salary range for this role is $72,952 - $96,519.
