Our Health Promotion Advisors take a public health approach towards helping the people of Tairāwhiti. Community engagement and whakawhanaungatanga are at the core of this role, you will collaborate with partners, local iwi and community leaders to promote mental and social resilience, particulary in Māori and pacific people/communities and young people. Collaboration with agencies and organisations will be a primary focus, specifically with aims to reduce the rate of alcohol and illegal drug use, as well as a strategic approach across the community mental health sector to prevent suicide in young people.
The remuneration range for this role is $59,035 - $83,030 and is covered by the collective agreement: PSA Allied MECA Allied, Public Health & Technical

This role exists to provide health promotion support towards Rangatahi.
The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, proven time management and organisational skills. It is desirable that you have a qualification and/or experience in Health Promotion.
The successful applicant is required to complete a police screen.
