We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our multi-disciplinary team based in Puawai Community Forensics. As a member of the team, you will work in an community setting to support service users/ tangata whaiora to achieve their maximum mental health potential. You will be supported in this role by the provision of professional supervision, in-service training, continuing professional development and peer support.

Mōu | About you

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in a mental health setting (would prefer Forensic experience but not essential)

• The ability to work effectively with a service user family/social network utilising recovery and a strength-based approach

• Well developed skills in comprehensive mental health and risk assessment

• Skills in effective documentation of clinical assessments and interventions, including formulation

• A strong recovery focus and a sensitivity to cultural aspects of mental health and the ability to apply the Treaty of Waitangi principles into practice

• The ability to work autonomously and provide a highly quality service to service users/tangata whaiora
