Permenant Full Time Position with dedicated specialist clinical FTE (0.20FTE)
We are excited to advertise a permanent role within the Te Whatu Ora Waitematā Allied Health Professional Clinical Leadership team (PCL), committed to optmising patient and whānau centred care across the district.
You will be a key component in Waitematā’s clinical governance framework, with primary areas of responsibility for strategic development of your discipline to include policy making, setting professional and clinical standards and ensuring the quality and safety of clinical practice within your domain. You will work closely with other Professional Clinical Leaders to develop and lead key pieces of work for the allied health group, working towards transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary models of working.
Reporting directly to the Chief Allied Health, Scientific and Technical Professions Officer, and working collaboratively with the Associate Chief Allied Health, Scientific and Technical Professions Officer, Operations Manager Allied Health, Associate Director of Allied Health, you will be responsible for achieving the highest possible standards of practice for your discipline.
You will work in close partnership with Operations Managers, Unit Managers, Team Leaders, Team Managers and Clinical Leaders across multiple divisions to facilitate optimum quality, productivity and efficiency of all relevant aspects of clinical service delivery.
You will have a strong role to play in leading and coordinating relevant continuing professional development activities across the district, promoting interdisciplinary practice and innovative models of care with a strong focus on ensuring key leadership roles within the discipline.
Clinical responsibilities. New Zealand Female Pelvic Mesh Service
This role comes with exciting and new dedicated clinical hours (0.20FTE) working within Te Whatu Ora Waitematā surgical MESH service in which you will play a key part in the interdisciplinary team to support patients and whānau referred into the service from across the country. Currently two national hubs have been operationalised across Aotearoa to work together and share responsibility to support and treat mesh injured consumers from around the country.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have at least seven years professional/clinical experience with proven leadership, relationship management skills, and the ability to work autonomously. You will also currently be in a dietetics leadership role where you have successfully undertaken leadership tasks and service development. Your other personal attributes include strong interpersonal and communication skills, a positive attitude, and eye for innovation and commitment to providing outstanding care to our community.
