Cervical Screening Coordinator

Full Time, Fixed Term Role (Maternity Leave Cover)

Monday- Friday

We are looking for a Cervical Screening Coordinator to join our Screening Services Team! This is an exciting time to be working in the Cervical Screening Programme with the introduction of HPV self-testing as the primary screening test. 

Your primary focus will be providing coordination, facilitation and support to improve cervical screening coverage for high needs women, unscreened and under-screened Maaori, Asian and Pacific women within the Counties Manukau region. 

Coming to us with a nursing background and project planning and implementation experience you will be able to develop a project plan, identify key objectives and milestones. Ensuring appropriate effective engagement from stakeholders, able to work to deadlines and budgets and adapt your relationship building expertise to all you encounter. 

Your knowledge and experience of cervical screening along with your relationship skills will be paramount to strengthening the communication with primary care provider staff enabling improved screening health literacy and improved access to cervical screening. 

The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in nursing, experience in primary care/general practice setting and ideally qualified smear taker in addition to having project management/coordination experience. Your communication skills will be exemplary as you will be communicating with many stakeholders internally and externally both written and verbally. 

Essential: 

·         NZ Registered Nurse

·         Current Annual Practicing Certificate

·         2+ years experience in specialised area

·         Qualified smear taker
