Women Child and Family Service – Health Care Assistant

This position includes rostered and 24 hour rotating shifts. 

The role covers Maternity – the Birthing and Postnatal Units, the Children’s Unit and the Special Care Baby Unit in Rotorua Hospital.

These are busy areas and the role involves the cleaning and maintenance of specialised equipment and rooms. The successful applicant will be required to undertake training in Infection Control as well as Health and Safety in the hospital setting. Computer skills are essential as the role also includes ordering of supplies and resources for all three areas. 

The successful applicant will need to be fit and healthy as the role involves rigorous physical activity and mobility.
With training and support the successful applicant will also support whanau’s with basic baby cares and educating women on the expressing and feeding equipment. 

This role may also require you to be a care companion for infants, children or adults. 

We are looking for multiple applicants and have the flexibility to give part time and full time positions.
