Associate Clinical Director - Obstetrics - SMO at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitematā, Auckland

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

Associate Clinical Director of Obstetrics - Senior Medical Officer

Full time or Part-time, Permanent

Te Whatu Ora - Waitemata serves the largest DHB population in New Zealand providing services to more than 640,000 people and employing more than 8,800 staff. We have a diverse population with complex, interesting and challenging presentations.

Our organisation values and promise statement – Best Care for Everyone – serve to inspire us to continuously improve to provide the best care possible to each and every person and their family within our community.

We are seeking a permanent Associate Clinical Director of Obstetrics to join our team of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultants. The position would be at least 0.7 FTE up to 1.0 FTE. We have the enviable position of working in an environment that welcomes innovative practice so your contribution and style of work will need to complement our drive to deliver excellence. We are seeking an applicant who enjoys working collaboratively with the larger team and is interested in service development, quality improvement and regional collaboration. As part of an experienced leadership team, you will also be involved in clinical governance and teaching.

Our specialists work in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Our service provides acute Obstetric care across two hospital sites and acute Gynaecologic services at North Shore Hospital (NSH). Specialists work in outpatient Obstetrics and Gynaecology clinics and perform Gynaecologic surgery.

The successful candidate will be required to work clinically in acute and arranged obstetrics and in acute gynaecology, across both sites at Waitakere and North Shore Hospitals, which includes after hours on call commitments.

You are registered (or registerable) with the New Zealand Medical Council and if you are from overseas or outside Auckland, our global mobility service will help with the logistics of immigration and relocation, to make your move as smooth as possible.
