The Opportunity:

Gain valuable real-life experience & insights through the role of Mental Health Social Worker. We have a core position available in our Taunaki (Child & Adolescent Mental health Services) Team, working Monday – Friday based at 492 Great South Road, Otahuhu. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated and confident in their ability to communicate effectively with a range of other specialist colleagues, including general practitioners and practice nurses. We can give you an opportunity to work closely with our clinical partners in primary care e.g. GP practices, schools and marae.

Our vision for the Pasifika Mental Health & Integrated Care Services North is to become a Centre for Clinical and Cultural Excellence in delivering of evidenced based practice for all accessing mental health services. You will receive on-going support by your line manager, clinical coordinator and other Social Workers within your integrated specialist ‘home team’ (ISpEC), and opportunities for clinical supervision and professional development. Essential:

• NZ Registered Social Worker with a current Annual Practising Certificate

• At least one year’s experience as a registered Social Worker in Mental Health

• Full, clean driver’s licence
