Manager, CADS Services - Counselling and DD

- Full time role (40 hours per week)

Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) Auckland is looking for a full-time manager to work in our counselling and dual diagnosis service. The is a fixed-term role and will be based in Pt. Chevalier.
About us
CADS is the largest Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) service in New Zealand working with around 15,000 people each year. CADS provides free community and inpatient AOD treatment from a number of locations across Auckland. CADS is committed to empowering the community to discover healthier use of substances (harm minimisation) and to promote recovery and wellbeing.
About the role
This role makes a significant contribution to strategic and service development working alongside Senior Medical Officers and other senior staff to provide direction to the services.
As the largest provider of addiction recovery services CADS is involved with multiple regional and national health policy initiatives which challenge traditional service delivery.
We are looking for a person with a genuine commitment to the people we serve who can work with the justice sector, mental health services, social services, other recovery services, and primary care to develop new ways of working together as a priority.
You need to be skilled in service planning and delivery, human resource management, financial and contract management, quality management, interface with key organisational stakeholders, and responding to day to day operational issues. You will support staff to continue to develop great clinical skills in a range of interventions and to improve efficiencies on the frontline as a key focus of the position.
Training is provided in Te Whatu Ora systems that monitor service performance and in operational management through its Learning and Development team.
We are looking for a person who is able to work with these challenges, to work with front line clinicians and line managers as well as senior Te Whatu Ora Waitemata managers and policy makers. This is a unique position that requires well developed analytical and communication skills.
